Well I put time and thought into buying presents so I would let the chips fall where they may and assume great minds think alike.

I wait until they open it. I wouldn’t want some e opening my presents and trading it if it was the same as someone else’s.
I would leave the present alone, but I would make sure I gave my friend my gift first, thus making the other present the let down gift. Ha!
Just let the chips rest where they are. That is the reason gift receipts are a blessing. The gift recipient will get to spend their own time picking out the gift that most suits them…after they return your duplicate gift…LOL. It happens
