This might be a good deal if all could participate. Those that have finished all the levels just get more screen clutter. You need to rethink how it works.

Collect NEW gold stars for a chest. The first level collect 15 stars. I haven’t done any new levels since it showed up so can’t say if it is progressive or not. It will not work for someone who has finished all levels, except for some stray one or two star wins

I just got the offer to try the new Star Bonus today and so far, no good. I’m already finished on all the levels, so I can’t collect them that way. And when I did earn a gold star (not red stars) for beating the timer or getting a streak, it didn’t record that win. So I’m still at 0/15. Doesn’t seem as though this has been well thought out, and it certainly is no incentive for those of us who are maxed out on the last available level. It’s as worthless as the reward for Catching Poi to earn double the treasure - if we’re maxed out, Poi doesn’t appear because he’s always ahead of us in the new levels that are still unreleased/locked. I appreciate the effort to come up with something new, but this discriminates against long-time players.

I noticed today I have it but did say what to do other than collect gold stars. I’ve been playing all nite and it STILL shows 0/15 !

It only works for new stars not previously collected. If you are playing finished levels you will not get credit. Reward is a basic wood chest.

Yes, so it ONLY works on island you have not completed. Collect the stars, the box changes and says collect. After you collect then it resets to do again as you complete the island

@Beverly_Beeman the reason why you don’t have this is because it is going through a testing phase so only a few people try it out first

I have finished all levels also. I have beat the timer and gotten card streaks but my Star Bonus is still at 0/15. Was wondering if this is a glitch or am I looking at the wrong things to collect?

I have picked up 2 stars for streak or clock that I hadn’t received in earlier games.

Yes it does work for expert levels. ( Just spent about half my coins to win a new one )

Not on islands you have not completed but on levels you don’t have 3 gold stars … if you have a game that has only 2 gold stars and replay that level and get the missing star it gives you credit … after 15 you get a chest then start again next chest is better then the first and so on … it does benefit the players who have not advanced very far
