I’ll be honest - I never look at my club’s name while playing so I can’t remember its name (my memory is garbage now, in my defense), but my in-game name (gargle) is kind of unusual, so hopefully our club leaders (Louisa and Jeff) see this. I was playing this morning (Monday April 22) when the game crashed; I decided it was time I rebooted my phone and not just the app, but the phone started rebooting endlessly and then just froze and died. Not sure when I will be able to get it fixed/replaced as I don’t have a car and my wife works, but hopefully by the end of the week. I have no other way to notify my club why I’m going to be inactive for an unknown number of days, so I’m trying this. Hopefully someone in my club sees it!
Hi Gargle. I really hope that your teammates see your post. I also have that problem as my tablet crashed and i was the leader so i guess i will lose that title but i hope that i don’t get kick out of the club. Unlike you however I do know my club’s name is “tiki wiki” so i am hoping that as soon as i get back a tablet that i can continue where i left off in the game.
It’s an unusual club name (seemingly random numbers and then a potentially random word). What REALLY stinks is when this happened I had logged in for 98 days straight; unless I can get a new phone tomorrow, or get it fixed, I’ll miss day 99 and won’t get the 100-day chest prize. I only use the thing for texting (when I HAVE to - I hate doing it) and this game. It’s still under contract with my provider so hopefully they can replace it on-site or even better, give me a different model they have in stock that’s of equal value. I never used to have problems with cellphones until this particular model, and I’ve gone through I can’t tell you how many contracts and phones.
And I agree - hopefully you don’t get booted!
@gargle & @Gillgitts, hopefully you played the game being logged in through FB!
If so, you can play on another device. You can even borrow someone else’s phone or tablet for 30 minutes (long enough to at least let someone know what’s going on). Download the game app on that device. If they have FB, they will have to log out as them, then sign in as you. Then in the game, log in using FB, and do what you need to do.
If not, unfortunately your game progress is stored on the device. If it’s toast, so is your account.
Hoping you were logged in with FB, & keeping my fingers crossed for you!
Cool story! Please pick me for the 5 wild cards!
Not sure - I have added a few friends via facebook for the 3,000 coins they can send per day; but I imagine what you mean is more like playing as if the game is a facebook-based game? I’ll have some time to give it a shot later this morning, so hopefully that is good enough! Thanks!!!
Thank you @CindyLu. I am not sure if at the point of the crash i was logged into FB because at times i am and then sometimes i am not… sigh… i will try my son’s tablet and see what happens.
@gargle i really hope that i don’t get booted out but of more importance i hope that i don’t lose my progress. I am hoping to get back a tablet this week because the phone that i have tells me that it’s not available in my country. Until then i can only hope for the best and i also wish you the best as well.
Lucky me - I remembered that I have an ‘ancient’ mini-tablet from around 2010. I charged it up and installed Facebook and the game, and was worried at first when I opened the game; it started to go through a beginner’s tutorial. But after that I got a popup saying it was going to restart the game with the facebook connection; didn’t get booted and didn’t lose my progress.
If there’s one thing this game needs is to be able to message someone outside of your own club. I’ve gotten a few invitations from other clubs and just deleting them seems rude; and especially for situations like this I’d like to be able to message your club, Gillgitts, to let them know what’s up.
Absolutely and that is why most clubs have a Facebook group, in case something happens than you can use messenger to get a hold of them
I’ve asked about something like that in club chat and didn’t get a response - doesn’t help that the messages scroll off the screen in no time at all. I’ve additionally asked game support if there isn’t some way to create a forum section where a club can create a private ‘room’ so we can discuss things like this without personal info going out to all 4 corners of the world.
Yay @gargle! Glad you found a way to get back in!
@Gillgitts, it doesn’t matter if you were signed in or not when it crashed. If your account was ever signed in to FB, your game progress is not saved on the device, and available on any device.
Keep in mind though, that the logged out account is totally separate from the logged in account. Different game progress, different amount of coins, boosters, points & clubs. Hopefully, the account you liked the best was the logged in account!
@CindyLu I am just letting you know that I got the game installed on my phone and I also got back in the club. Thank you very much for your advice.
Also my progress remained where i left it.
I don’t understand this. I don’t have Facebook myself but I had my son log in to his so I could collect the rewards from the games’s page. I try to keep a tab open on safari with Facebook logged in but sometimes I get logged out. I never even notice until I go to collect rewards and I’m signed out OR I’m signing in and the game asks me to reconnect. I guess what I’m saying is I can play for several days without being logged in to Facebook but I’m still on my one regular account. I don’t have two. How would I even get a second? I would never want to risk my main one.
I believe it’s a security feature, I get signed out of my account all the time, sometimes is very frequent than, I will not have to sign in for a long stretch of time
