Does anyone know why some players get $1,000 coins per friend share while other players get $3,000 coins per friend share?

The best answer you will find …they are still testing, ever since they rolled out the friendshare in the game there have been many test modes, different amounts difference in times you have to wait to ask.
The solution is way over due. This test has been forever long.

Because they are robots. They do not care that we lose 40,000 coins a day compared to 89% of everyone else who gets 3,000 per friend. They snarkily say “testing will be done soonest” At least learn English, cyborgs from outer space!
