Please provide the ability to send direct chat messages to specific team members.

Some teams use Facebook to connect with members also.
But a in game direct message would be great!

Oh my gosh that would be the most helpful thing they could do!!! Especially with the new dig competition!!!
So frustrating when they won’t read the chat! Some act like it isn’t there!!

I have been saying the same thing!!! I would like it if they had to read messages before they could play! Then they would, though it doesn’t mean they would answer!!!

Chat capability to team members individually would be an asset. I don’t use social media and have no way of talking to just one team member. Great idea!

I’ve been saying this for at least a year now…why oh why can’t we IM team mates individually. I’m not a fan of FB that panders to the liberal left…so please make something available for us to talk individually to one another.

Just contact them thru Messenger once you get their last name. You can find them on FB. If they aren’t on FB then you can’t.

I am not necessarily comfortable friending or contacting people on Facebook and connecting with people I don’t know on that platform. I’d much rather be able to send a direct message to someone that I only need to speak to regarding the same and their specific contributions. Messages get buried in the chat, and a lot of people don’t read the chat. Would be very helpful I think!

I understand. I’ve just become friends w/almost all on my team so contacting them via messenger has worked well for me. That said, I think you idea is great and many others agree. So keep asking and maybe someday they will listen. I’ve been asking for years that all who max CQ’s should get to blow the horn…no more having to say maxed and no more cheating. That’s fallen on deaf ears too.

I totally vote YES on this! We have several regulars not on FB so that’s not an option. PLEASE add a chat to individuals!

Hey Aileen, I wondered if that was just us, and as someone else has mentioned messages get buried in chat, I know I have missed them especially during the contest when several members are communicating with each other about which grid spot to dig in. It would be fantastic to be able to communicate with members.
One of them told me today that she feels she should read it more, but it takes away from playing time, and she is a co-leader, I don’t think it is an option for co-leaders to read or not read chat, they just should.

If anyone could come up with a way to convince members to read chat, they would become the most popular person.
Not everyone uses their real names so it is not a matter of becoming Facebook friends as we have no way to find or contact them.
Admittedly we have a much more active chat than we use to, we have a couple of newbies in the last month or so who like to chat, and that has bought out the chatty in more of us, but there are still some that never say a word
We do have messenger where the leaders discuss the game, we tell members often it is an option and they are welcome to join, we would love input not only from leaders, but only a couple have ever taken us up on it.

Yes please! Direct message for team members or at least a way to “bump” to read chat. Even more important, a separate chat where at least the leaders can chat to make decisions. We are in different time zones & it’s even harder when questions get buried, plus don’t always want to discuss in front of whole team 
As far as FB, we also are having hard time finding each other - it flat out said not showing all results right now…WTH? LOL

Not politics at all - trying to get messages directly to specific users who either don’t read the club notes or ignore them. If we could message them directly we can help them, encourage them, or at minimum let them know expectations before they are removed from club.

Agree that direct chatting would be a help. Maybe just leaders.? Our club has the same problem esp. since gem competition,
Or could there be another way to notify instead of three dots on chat?
